It’s a brand new year!
I have been toying around with a blog for a while now but just kept
feeling as though I just didn’t have time to keep up with it as I would
like. I actually started a blog many
months ago, finally opened it but really didn’t “tell” anyone about it. I kept thinking I wanted to have more
for you to read, more for you to look at, and so on before I made it
“official”. Well, as they say, “it’s a
brand new year” so I’m just going to do something "brand new". When
I told john that I wanted to have 2
blogs he looked at me rather surprised...and, I suppose couldn’t help
but say, "And, how many times have you written on the blog you already
have?” I
suppose he also couldn’t help but say, "What makes you think you are
going to
have time to keep up with 2 when you feel as though you don’t have time
to keep
up with 1 as you would like?” So, I
began to tell him why I felt the need for 2.
I know deep down that this personal blog may get a wee bit more
attention than my "business blog" (I will share this one soon, too!...and, who knows...I may just end up using only this one...we'll see!), but it will also involve the happenings of my business, new designs
I am creating, things I am excited about, and other tidbits about what all I am up to. But, I wanted a place where I could just be
me…I want this to be a place where you can come and you will truly feel as
though you had a conversation with me…perhaps a little “chit chat” while
sipping on a cuppa tea! I just want it
to be a relaxed place where I can share some of my favorite things, my inspirations,
my dreams, my fears, my uncertainties, and along the way…well, you may relate
to some of the things I am thinking so I hope you will leave me a comment or
send an email because I look forward to getting to know you, too. 
My friend Amani and I always say how we miss our chats over a cuppa tea at my kitchen table in Kuwait…I hope this will be a “kitchen table” of sorts where we can share our life experiences. I cannot tell you the number of times I have been inspired or touched by some of the beautiful blogs I check on all along. I have sat right here at my computer and started praying for someone that I don’t personally know but feel as though I do just from reading their blog. Many prayer requests are found throughout blogland, and there have been so many times when I find myself thinking about some of these special people throughout the day and saying a prayer for them…maybe they have a sick baby, maybe the husband is searching for a job, or maybe someone in their family is battling an illness. I so believe “it’s the little things that matter” so all these little moments of prayer by the special people in blogland truly do make a difference. I have left comments for “would be strangers”…however, after reading their blog, well, I felt as though I knew them. It just feels as though introductions are not even necessary...you just offer your thoughts, your concern, your praise, your encouragement, and you feel like you just did it for a friend you have known forever. So, I hope you will enjoy getting to know me a little better, and I do invite you to stop by and chat a bit. I would love to hear from you!
And, some days I may be thinking about some of my memories from Germany, Kuwait, the tea room, or something else so I’ll even be doing a little “traveling” on this little blog. Oh, stay tuned..I’ll definitely be taking you on a trip to the Cayman Islands since we just returned from there. I had such fun playing with my new camera so I took tons of pictures. And, don't we all just need a "beach day" every now and then?!!
